Atlanta Hawks star Thabo Sefolosha was arrested last April, after NYPD officers claimed he was obstructing them during the investigation of the stabbing of NBA player Chris Copeland near 1 OAK nightclub.
This morning, a court found Sefolosha not guilty of misdemeanor obstruction and disorderly conduct charges. Thabo’s leg was broken during the arrest and he’s considering suing the NYPD.
According to numerous witnesses, Thabo was in the process of giving a homeless man money when police took him down. During the trial, that same homeless man testified that police were excessive with Thabo.
