Terrell Owens wanted a shot at playing for the Clippers

Terrell Owens still doesn’t have a job in the NFL. If you’ve followed his career, you recall that Ownes felt he was a pretty good basketball player as well. He thought so much of his skills in fact that he reportedly was trying to finagle his way into a spot on the Clippers roster last summer according to Blake Griffin.

“Terrell Owens is always — he was at our practice facility this summer, begging coaches for a 10-day contract,”

Ummm T.O., 10-day contracts start in January so you were a tad early to the party! Perhaps you should’ve been asking for a shot on the summer league roster. There’s always the D League showcase that happens at the top of the year too.

Oh and Happy Birthday to Terrell, he turned 39 on December 7th.
