In the words of Rex Ryan, “F*CK THAT! Let’s go eat a god damn snack.” It’s football time!

Wow! I think everyone will agree the off-season was definitely interesting. Unpredictable at best, the off-season was full of many highs and lows. Holdouts, arrests, and debates would be the only way to describe all that took place this summer.
From Tennessee Titans star running back Chris Johnson’s hold out to Texans running back Arian Foster and all his “anti-awesomeness” using Twitter to show the world his MRI, no one could imagine that the off-season would be so damn entertaining. Like a Hollywood script, we saw the Peyton Manning neck saga play out like a made for TV drama, but for now there is no happy ending. Manning will miss the season opener and it looks like his future is uncertain. We witnessed Michael Vick get his second $100 million dollar deal (now that’s a happy ending), the Cam Newton show, and in true fashion America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys became the most valuable ($1.85 billion) NFL team on Forbes list for 2011.
With all the shenanigan behind us, it’s finally time for some football. Thursday night’s match-up between the defending champions, the Green Bay Packers and the 2010 Super Bowl Champs, the New Orleans Saints should be the big game of the week; however, if you are like me, you know that clearly the game to watch is Ryan vs. Ryan. Yes, my J-E-T-S fittingly on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 will show why they should be the “new” America’s team. In the words of Rob Ryan, “Naw, I mean hell, he is a little freaky I guess.” Rex is freaky and the Jets will freak this season.
Are you ready for some football? With not one, but two Monday night games, it safe to say it was all worth the wait. Below are my straight picks and an extra bonus for all of you parlay risk takers for week 1. Drink and pick responsibly!
