Stilettos On The Street: Matt Barnes Welcome To L.A. Party

Yes I recognize it’s December and Matt has been in L.A. since October but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a proper welcome.

Matt’s fiancee’, Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan threw the soiree that also supported his charity organization, Athletes versus Cancer.  Some of the notables in attendance were Matt’s Laker teammates: Lamar & Khole Odashian (Ok Khole’s outfit. I LOVE from head to toe, the Loubs, the Birkin ::I melt::), Derek Fisher and his wife Candace, Shannon Brown and Monica, Steve Blake and his wife Kristin, and Luke Walton.

Suzie Ketcham from Basketball Wives; Ironically the rest of the Basketball Wives cast were also in L.A. but they opted for dinner at Crustacean (YUM Garlic noodles) instead. I spoke with Suzie briefly and she said while she is on the upcoming season, she’s not planning on watching but that you should expect fireworks.

Doug and Jackie Christie. Funny enough, I know most have heard the stories over the years about Jackie Christie and her thoughts about females in sports but she was very engaging with me last night. She still has her clothing and jewelry lines as well as an upcoming reality show that will feature their daughter, aspiring recording artist Chani titled Hollywood Kids.

Also in attendance The Game’s Hosea Chanchez, former NBA player-current Lakers Special Coach Craig Hodges, some random chick from Bad Girls Club (sorry I don’t watch), Football Wives diva Mercedes Nelson and ME!!

The only thing I’d ask of Matt is that if he’s going to have his clothing line as one of the Event sponsors, he might want to consider actually WEARING it. (Ellusion is the name and I believe it will be distributed through Hollywood Suit Outlet)
