Steelers Ben Roethlisberger & Hines Ward To Appear In Batman “The Dark Knight Rises”

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger and a group of his teammates, including Hines Ward will be featured in “The Dark Knight Rises,” playing what else but, football players at Heinz Field.

Roethlisberger is friends with Thomas Tull, the film’s executive producer who joined the Steelers’ ownership in 2009. Tull advocated Pittsburgh as a location and the Steelers’ involvement in the third installment of the “Batman” trilogy, which is being directed by Christopher Nolan. Christian Bale returns as Batman and Ann Hathaway plays Catwoman.

Of course Ben and the guys will be playing for the “home” team, the Gotham Rogues. Just one of the tiny perks you get when one of your owners also happens to be a Hollywood film producer! Nice.
