Spurs Tony Parker suing WIP for $20 million for injuries resulting from Chris Brown-Drake brawl

Spurs guard Tony Parker is suing the recently shuttered W.I.P. nightclub in Manhattan for injuries he suffered in a dust up allegedly between pop star, Chris Brown (or his entourage) and superstar rapper Drake (and/or his crew.)

The suit was filed Thursday in Manhattan is asking for damages in the amount of $20 million.

It states, the W.i.P club in SoHo and its operators were negligent in security and supervision, which allowed the fight to take place.

Chris Brown, his girlfriend and his bodyguard were among eight injured during the fight inside the club last week. Police say members of Drake’s entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving. The fight escalated and bottles were thrown.

Parker suffered a scratched cornea from the incident. The club was closed a short time following the brawl for violations unrelated to this incident.

The suit does not name Brown or Drake as defendants but blames the club for creating the perfect storm.

“The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two,” the filing says.

“She’s been known, like Helen of Troy, to cause trouble,” Jaroslawicz said of Rihanna.

But Rihanna wasn’t even there… Looks like some changes might be headed down for New York bottle service.
