Skylar Diggins explains why Kobe is her favorite and working with Jay Z is golden [video]

Skylar Diggins has been everywhere following her first season in the WNBA with the Tulsa Shock. Diggins appeared on FS1’s “Crowd Goes Wild” this week where she talked about Kobe Bryant being her favorite player and who she grew up idolizing, what’s it’s like working with Roc Nation Sports – she says they’re golden and the biggest difference between college ball and playing in the WNBA.

Why Kobe Bryant is her favorite athlete:

I love, love, love Kobe Bryant. Anybody who knows me, knows that. Just the passion that he plays with. His competitive nature, his tenacity and just seeing him come back is really inspiring after that crazy injury he had last season.

Having Jay Z as her agent:

He’s amazing. The whole Roc Nation family is amazing…Everything they touch turns to gold. They just wanna move mountains for you and its great working with people you actually like.

Biggest difference between college and professional basketball:

The physical game. More physical. Faster pace. You know in college when you play against a team that is rebuilding or lost a lot of seniors or whatever the case may be, in the league everybody’s good. Playing against the best players in the world night in and night out, so I would say those are the biggest adjustments.
