Serena Williams Stalked Via Twitter

I adore twitter! But one of my biggest concerns with it (and Facebook) is the amount of personal information people sometimes give up on it. People will take the smallest details, piece them together and voila, you’re every movement revealed for thieves to come and rob your home or as in the case of Serena Williams, a stalker to follow you’re every move.

Check the details:

A man accused of stalking tennis star Serena Williams told investigators he knew her whereabouts because of her updates on Twitter.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirms that 40-year-old Patenema Ouedraogo is charged with stalking and cyber-stalking, after he was arrested near Williams’ home early Tuesday morning by Palm Beach Gardens Police. Ouedraogo was booked just before 2 a.m.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Ouedraogo had a Texas driver’s license when he was stopped by private security near the home of Williams Monday evening. Guards had received alerts warning them of a man who had been stalking Serena and said he matched the description. They put him in handcuffs and called police.

That is some scary stuff! Outside of her home!! Lucky for Serena that her security is alert and on point. Meanwhile Serena was in New York enjoy the Met-Gala.

All the way from Texas?? He looks nuts!
