Seahawks QB Russell Wilson Divorcing Wife After 2 Years Of Marriage

Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife of two years, Ashton are divorcing. In an interesting PR move, the Seahawks announced the divorce. The couple married three months before Wilson was drafted to the Seahawks.

“I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Wilson said. “Clearly, decisions like these don’t come easy. Ashton and I respectfully ask for prayers, understanding and privacy during this difficult time. Moving forward, I will have no further comment on this matter.”

The two have been together since high school, maintaining a long distance relationship while Wilson was in college at North Carolina State and later Wisconsin. Ashton attended the University of Georgia.

Time for an upgrade Russ? Or is it just that he wants to explore the fruits of being an NFL star. Orrrrrrr it could be that he signs his big money deal next year. :shrug: You choose.
