Russell Wilson Says He And Ciara Are Practicing Abstinence

Russell Wilson shared an amazing piece of information on Sunday with pastor McPherson of The Rock church in San Diego, ca. about his relationship with singer Ciara. The couple has decided to abstain from having sex. At least for the time being.

Russell revealed that God told him to lead Ciara. He also says he knew before he met her that they would date. Russ says he met Ciara about five or six months ago. The two were first spotted last April attending a Seattle Mariners baseball game, before their first official outing as a couple at the White House.

“And so I’ll never forget: She was on tour, she was traveling, and I was looking at her in the mirror. I was sitting in the dressing room, and she was getting ready to go, about 15 minutes before she went on stage. And she was sitting there, and God spoke to me and said, ‘I need you to lead her.’ And I was like, ‘Really? Right now?’

“He goes, ‘I want you and need you to lead her.’

“So I told her right then and there, what would you do if we took all that extra stuff off the table and just did it Jesus’ way?”

I think it’s sweet and important that they want to show that you can take the time to get to know one another before bringing sex into the equation.
