Rashard Lewis Weds Giovanni Fortes In California [Photos]

Yet another jock has tied the knot this summer. Washington Wizard star Rashard Lweis married longtime girlfriend Giovanni Fortes in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca. on Saturday, August 13th. The ceremony was was held at the Terranea resort and was ocharstrated by My Fair Wedding” host David Tutera (he’s also working on Chris Paul’s wedding next month)

The bride and groom have been together for 11 years and have two children, Gianna and Rashard Jr. The bride wore a Vera Wang gown and walked down to the aisle to Alicia Keys’ “Never Felt This Way”. Wedding participants dined on wild mushroom ravioli, roasted beet salad, pan roasted striped bass, braised short ribs, mango croissant bread puffing and caramel cheesecake creme brulee for dessert. 

There were two cakes made by the Vanilla Bake shop. Rashard’s grooms’s cake celebrated Louis Vuitton while the five-tier wedding cake represented each city the couple fell in love in. Cute concept. The red shorts and air force ones at the reception was a nice touch, Rashard is a Nike athlete, I’m sure the swoosh was pleased. Some of the guests in attendance included, Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan (this resort was actually one of the areas Matt and Gloria had considered for their wedding), Rashard’s teammate, Jameer Nelson, NBA player Damien Wilkens and more.
