Patriots Aaron Hernandez destroyed video footage evidence and a cell phone

The investigation surrounding the murder of Patriots Aaron Hernandez’s associate, Odin Lloyd continues to get weirder each time a new piece of information has been released. Plus there are also the deets on a lawsuit filed in Florida where Hernandez is accused of shooting a man in the face following an altercation at a strip club. Let’s get you updated with everything that’s taken place over the past few days.

– the most recent bit of news is that Hernandez smashed his home security system video and cell phone plus hired a cleaning to come scrub his home the day after the murder.

Police are back at the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez today with another warrant based on evidence that “he destroyed his home security system,” an investigator close to the case told ABC News.

The investigator, and other law enforcement sources, confirmed that the security system – which included video surveillance – was smashed intentionally.

And a cell phone used by Hernandez was handed over to investigators “in pieces” by his attorneys, the sources said.

Police also want to know why a team of house cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub Hernandez’s mansion, sources told ABC News.

– Not only was Hernandez – along with 2 other men plus the victim – in the rental car together. Four gentlemen left  with Hernandez but only three returned the night in question with Lloyd being the missing individual.

According to a source, Hernandez, Lloyd, and two other men were at a bar in Boston the night of the homicide, and at some point, the four men left together in a car driven by Hernandez which was confirmed by a text Lloyd sent another friend, the source says.

It is unclear where the car went or what happened during the ride, but according to the source only three men returned to Hernandez’s home at the end of the night and Lloyd was not one of them.

– And then, there’s that lawsuit

According to TMZ, the lawsuit was filed in federal court in Florida on June 13 and claims that Hernandez and an acquaintance, Alexander S. Bradley, went to Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami on February 13, 2013. After the two men got into a verbal altercation, they left the club and got into the same car. During the ride, Hernandez allegedly aimed his weapon at Bradley and the gun discharged, striking Bradley in the face.

The victim suffered significant injury, including the loss of his right eye. Bradley claimed he required major surgery to reconstruct his face and also suffered damage to his right hand and arm, which required surgery as well.

Bradley, who is seeking more than $100,000 in damages, said Hernandez did not have a license for the gun.

There are also alleged gang ties. Hernandez will allegedly be charged at some point this week. Starting to sound like another Ray Lewis situation.
