Pamela Smith ordered to pay Michael Jordan’s legal fees

Remember Pamela Smith? She’s the woman that claimed Michael Jordan was the father of her now 17 year-old son Taj. She filed suit against Jordan early this year but later dismissed the suit with the right to re-file. Jordan claimed he wasn’t the father and shouldn’t be ordered to take a paternity test or move forward with her claim because legally, Pamela’s 2003 divorce established her ex-husband as the father of Taj.

Well a judge agrees with Jordan and his lawyers and slammed Pamela:

The judge called Pamela’s bogus claim one big publicity stunt, pointing out she hired a publicist before even getting a lawyer … and then dragged Michael through the mud.

The judge ordered Pamela to pay Jordan’s legal bills —  $9,704.13

Pamela initially filed the case on her own and per her lawyer, Randall Kessler was unaware of certain aspects of the law. The lesson in this ladies, always seek proper representation before you make a move against an athlete with unlimited resources. One technicality can kill all your credibility.
