Nia Long talks “House of Lies” & relationship with Spurs assistant coach Ime Udoka [video]

San Antonio Spurs assistant coach, Ime Udoka is living the dream. After spending a few years in the NBA, Udoka made the transition to the other side of the bench in a coaching role with his old team. Udoka also happens to be in a relationship with actress Nia Long. A woman who is absolutely several jocks celebrity upgrade dream girl. Even at 41 years old.

Nia recently appeared on Access Hollywood Live to discuss her new role on Showtime’s “House of Lies” and how she and Udoka make it work with their 15 month old son and his job in San Antonio and hers in L.A.

Check a few excerpts:

On her relation ship with Ime Udoka:
“He’s assistant coach for the Spurs so we go back and forward to San Antonio. We are committed to one another, our babies, you know, you just do what you got to do.”

On her children:

“I have a 12 year old and a 15 month old. I was kind of worried because of the age gap, but my baby looks at the oldest like ‘oh my God you’re my hero”. And my big boy is like ‘Oh I can actually rough house you because you’re so juicy’. They’re awesome.”

On her “House of Lies” character, Tamar, and Don Cheadle’s character Marty:

“I love the show. Tamar is a little frisky, she’s not what you expect. She’s been disappointed in her marriage, so as the season progresses you see how these two challenge each other. You know, because they’re friends from college.”

House of Lies is one of my favorite shows. I hope her character stays and they evolve the relationship with her character and Marty’s.
