Nia Long and Spurs Assistant Coach Ime Udoka Are Engaged

Congratulations to actress Nia Long and San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Ime Udoka. The two have recently become engaged.

The 44-year old was spotted out recently rocking a sparkler on her left hand, her reps confirmed to E! news, that after five years of dating, Ime (37) popped the question. The two met in 2010, and had their first son, Kez – Nia’s youngest – in 2011. Nia also has a 14-year-old son, Massai, from a previous relationship.

In 2013 while promoting “The Best Man Holiday,” Nia mentioned in an interview that it can be difficult for career-driven women and marriage because of the pressures society places on woman and relationships.

“I think that women who are extremely driven to success, ambitious, I think they get to a point in their lives where they’re like, ‘Uh oh. I am 30-something years old, and I don’t have a husband and I don’t have children yet and what does that mean?’” she told the mag.

“I think what it means is stay in your course because it’s going to happen when it’s supposed to happen. It doesn’t happen for everyone at the same time, so you can’t compare your life to someone else’s.”
