NFL free agent Donte Stallworth injured in hot air balloon crash

NFL free agent Donte Stallworth was injured in a hot air ballon crash in Miami. Stallworth was hospitalized after sustaining “severe burns” when the hot-air balloon he and two other passengers were in struck power lines in South Miami-Dade, the Miami Herald reports.

According to the Miami-Dade police, Stallworth was transported to the Trauma Center at Kendall Regional Hospital where he is in stable condition. Stallworth’s girlfriend was also injured, but her condition has not been disclosed. A third passenger was uninjured.

Stallworth’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, says the veteran receiver should be able to resume his NFL career, ESPN.com reports.
