New Couple Alert: Pistons’ Andre Drummond pulls Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy on Instagram

I have several theories about jocks. One of my favorites is that at some point, they all want a celebrity chick upgrade. That’s when a jock decides that just having the baddest chick in the club or the city isn’t enough and he’s ready to show that he’s “That GUY” by upgrading to a celebrity. I’ll go deeper into this theory later in, “The Stiletto Jill Chronicles” but let me give you today’s example.

Second year Detroit Pistons player Andre Drummond decided to use Twitter and Instagram’s “Women Crush Wednesdays” to express his huge crush on Nickleodeon’s “iCarly” actress, Jennette McCurdy. McCurdy caught wind of Drummond’s crush which blossomed into follows on Twitter.

Now we’ve evolved to the gift giving stage with Andre sending Jennette flowers and a teddy bear named “Drummy” ::awwwwww:: see guys, it’s the little things that can have the biggest impact.

Jennette is already rocking Pistons gear.

Not sure when the first date is scheduled but if the beginning stages are any indication, I’m sure we’ll get updates via Twitter and Instagram.
