Nets owner Jay Z and wife Beyonce welcomed their baby, Blue Ivy Carter into the world a few days ago. Jay Z celebrated the occasion by dropping “Glory” a track dedicated to her on his lifestyle website, Life and Times. On the track, Jay mentions turning the “sky blue” for Princess Carter. Jay included a photo of New York landmark, the Empire State building lit up in blue with the caption, “Life just got REALLY good”
“I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you, the most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real.”
He goes on to creatively reference his wife with such lyrics as “You’re the child of destiny/You’re the child of my destiny/You’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child/That’s a helluva recipe.”
“Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you’d disappear/But nah baby, you’re magic,” he raps.
He ends by saying that “the most beautiful thing in this world is daddy’s little girl” and “life is a gift, open it up.”
I’m a daddy’s girl. I LOVE THIS.
