Two years after the alleged event took place, NBA free agent Nick Young is being sued by a woman who claims Young slipped something in her drink and sexually assaulted her. The incident reportedly happened in 2011 when Nick was playing for the LA Clippers. The woman says she met Young at The Crown Bar which is located in West Hollywood. Young purchased champagne for “Jane Doe” and her companion.
TMZ has the details from there:
The woman claims she woke up the next morning in Young’s bed, bleeding from her vagina and rectum.
Following the hospital treatment, the woman says she’s continued to undergo psychiatric evaluations.
“Jane Doe” is also suing Crown Bar for negligence. She is suing Young for sexual battery, sexual assault, false imprisonment, and more — demanding unspecified damages. No word as to why she decided at the time not to pursue criminal charges or as to why it’s taken her this long to launch a civil suit.
Yikes. Tricky situation when alcohol and the question of consent are involved. What happened to her friend that night? Was she out of it too? Did her friend believe Jane Doe was in her proper mind state to leave the club with Nick? How were they served the drinks i.e. a waitress, from the bar. As details become available, we’ll keep you updated.
