Monét Merchand claims Basketball Wives’ Tasha Marbury is threatening her, has filed a police report

“Basketball Wives” Miami may have a smaller cast in seasons past but it looks as if new comer Tasha Marbury has a real life juicy storyline unfolding. Tasha filed a protective order against a woman named Monét Merchand. Tasha claimed that Merchand was obsessed with her husband, ex-NBA star Stephon Marbury and that she was harassing and stalking her via Twitter and blogs.

Merchand has since flipped the script and on Feburary 3rd, filed her own police report against Tasha- using her government name which she wants kept private because she fears for her safety… and possibly because she is trying to promote her fledging rap career but, whatever – in the report Merchand claims Mrs. Marbury threatened her and her friends with “bodily harm.”

The police are investigating both claims.

Interestingly enough, it appears this whole situation kicked off back in October when it was announced that Tasha would be joining the cast. A press release was sent out – too a few NBA WAGS in an interesting twist – about Merchand’s alleged relationship with Steph. Check out a few excerpts from the “release”
