MLB great Daryl Strawberry’s daughter Diamond joins cast of ‘Love & Hip-hop NY’

Former MLB great – and LA native – Daryl Strawberry’s daughter is coming to reality TV. Diamond Strawberry has been announced as one of the newest cast members of Love & Hip-Hop NY.

Diamond Strawberry– daughter of New York Mets outfielder Daryl Strawberry, Diamond has moved to NY from L.A. to start her career as a model and build her relationship with her boyfriend Cisco but her decision backfires when she finds out her boyfriend has betrayed her.

We all know the toll reality TV shows can take on relationships and families. Hope she’s ready, I wonder if her father will make an appearance. About 10 years ago Daryl gave his life over to God following after battling drug addiction.

Strawberry’s illustrious baseball career lasted for 17 seasons, including winning four World Series and eight all-star team selections. But, like many former professional athletes, things went down hill once he stopped playing. Strawberry dealt with addiction, trouble with the law, and cancer twice.

On a side note, I wonder what type of goals Diamond’s parents envisioned for her in the future with a name like “Diamond Strawberry”
