A few stories floating around that were interesting so I snatched the links and stuck them in my fly little electronic clutch for your reading pleasure:
USC receives heavy sanctions from the NCAA related to Reggie Bush’s time at the University. Juniors and Seniors will be allowed to move to other programs without having to Red Shirt a year. Wonder what the program will look like for the next few years? HERE
Late April/ Early May wasn’t the greatest for JR Smith. 1st the Nuggets are bounced from the playoffs. Now comes news that during that same time frame while the Nuggets were winning in Utah, somebody was WINNING in JR’s house. Someone gained entry to his home (which is inside a gated community by the way) made off with $15,000 CASH as well as Louis Vuitton luggage (a pro athlete staple) and expensive watches. Hmmm an inside job perhaps? The perps have yet to be discovered HERE
The New York Daily News had a feature from an anonymous ex NFL player which gave his perspective on “The Rules of (sidepiece) Engagement”. His bottom line. If these athletes insist upon taking the chance, treat the woman with respect. AND gifts. A friend of mine always says, people don’t really have a problem being used, they have a problem being discarded! He agrees HERE
Another NFL off season, another Strip Club. Another athlete accused of improper behavior. This time Vince Young is prime suspect in an alleged assault. No arrest warrant has been issued as yet. HERE
NBA coaching carousel is in motion. So far, Avery Johnson is IN for the Nets HERE
Larry Drew has officially been names as the Atlanta Hawks coach HERE
Michigan State Coach Tom Izzo is still “deciding” if he’ll accept the Cavs head coaching position. He’s unsure (naturally) because LeBron’s status is still up in the air. HERE
