Miko Grimes On a Raiders’ Injury and Smoking Weed With Michael Vick

Anytime a mic is in front of Miko Grimes, shots, flames and hot takes are likely to follow. Grimes is the wife of Tampa Bay Bucs cornerback Brent Grimes, has a sports podcast, I Heart Miko and a spot on the VH1 reality show “Baller Wives.” So when she decides to “spill tea,” it naturally garners a lot of attention.

Miko was a guest on The Breakfast Club, where she claimed the Oakland Raiders offensive line didn’t block for quarterback Derek Carr, allowing him to get hurt on purpose behind an argument over the anthem protests.

“(Carr) was against (the offensive line) protesting. And they had a fight in the locker room before that Monday night game with the Redskins. They were fighting in the locker room, and that’s the only all-black offensive line in the NFL is the Raiders.

“Derek Carr is a bible-thumper to the fullest. And so he was basically trying to force the players to read the bible before the game, and do all this stuff and they were like, ‘No, that’s you.’ And so he was so upset about it, when the whole offensive line said they were going to kneel, he was like, ‘No, you’re not kneeling. This is America, you’re going to stand for the flag.’ And they got in a fight in the locker room, so when they came out to play, they basically had a plan.”

Let’s clarify a few things, it seems as if the game she’s referencing was Week 3, but that was a Sunday night game. I’ll blame that on the weed. Miko isn’t shy about her love of the green, in this interview she says she’s the weed plug…

Speaking of that, she also says that smoking and supplying weed for former NFL QB Michael Vick led to beef on her VH1 show with his wife, Kiafja.

But back on track, it’s also worth noting that CARR was actually hurt the following week on an incidental helmet to his back against the Denver Broncos in Week 4.

The comments obviously started a social media frenzy. While Miko later clarified that the tea was actually spilled by a Raiders insider on her podcast a few weeks back, the fire was lit. Several Raiders responded to the claims including Raiders Offensive tackle Donald Penn and his wife Dominique.

Dominique who is also on reality TV – E!’s “WAGS LA” – responded with a bit more energy.
