Michael Strahan & Nicole Murphy End 5-Year Engagement

Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy have ended their 5-year-engagement. The announcement came the day before the former New York Giants legend will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

People magazine reports that the strain of a long distance relationship is what caused the break up. Strahan began hosting “Live with Kelly and Michael” in September of 2012, and in April of this year was added to ABC’s “Good Morning America” crew.

“They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship,” Strahan’s rep told People.

Murphy lives in LA and is currently starring on the VH1 reality show, “Hollywood Exes.”
