Manti Te’o hoax mastermind Ronaiah Tuiasosopo admits to being in love with Manti

Yes, there are still more details to digest in the Manti Te’o saga. Ronaiah Tuiasosopo will appear on a two-part episode of Dr. Phil with the first part airing on Thursday. Dr. Phil McGraw appeared on “The Today show” Wednesday revealing a few details about the interview.

“There were many times when Manti and Lennay have broken up,” Tuiasosopo says in the interview, “but something would bring them back together, whether it was something going on in his life or Lennay’s life or in this case my life.”

McGraw does not believe that Manti had knowledge of  the situation and wasn’t a willing participant. 

“Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love,” he said. “I asked him straight up, ‘Was this a romantic relationship with you?’ And he says yes. I said, ‘Are you then therefore gay?’ And he said, ‘When you put it that way, yes.’ And then he caught himself and said, ‘I am confused.'”

And this is just the teaser, remember this will be a two-hour interview… I doubt that Tuiasosopo is confused about his sexuality. He’s probably confused as to how to line it up with his and his family’s religious beliefs. But, I’m sure that’s something Dr. Phil will tackle over the course of the interview as well.
