Laura Govan popped over the weekend about VH1’s “Basketball Wives” franchise. Laura and her sister Gloria won’t be returning for the third season of the LA spinoff. According to Laura, Shaunie let the show go to sh*t by allowing “ho*s” to become cast members.
“I feel like she didn’t keep [the show] in the basketball creed. She shoulda kept ‘Basketball Wives,’ basketball wives. There coulda been a ‘Housewives or a Ho’ show for everybody else later.”
I hope Laura realizes that those requirements would’ve kept her off the show as well. Although she is a baby’s mama five times over, she herself still only has an engagement ring, not the title. Her shots are aimed at Draya Michele – who possibly had a situation with Laura’s baby’s daddy, Gilbert Arenas at one point – and new cast member, Sundy Carter. Carter was on season two as Jackie’s “friend” and was added to the cast this season. Sunday has a daughter with former NBA player, Larry Hughes. The scandal comes from the fact that Larry was – and still is- married at the time.

And in other “Basketball Wives LA” related news, Jackie Christie threw a party to celebrate the release of her sixth book, ‘Sexual Relations: A His & Hers Guide to Greater Intimacy’. The event included strippers and Jackie reportedly gave her cast mate Draya a lapdance…
I guess Jackie got over whatever had her uptight in season one during her bachelorette party episode.
The other new cast addition is Brandi Maxiell, wife of Orlando Magic’s Jason Maxiell. Brandi has an inspiring story, she overcame cancer a few years back. I’m certain this will be discussed on the new season.
