Lala Anthony says no truth to the Honey Nut Cheerios rumor [audio]

Lala Anthony is promoting the latest season of her VH1 reality show, Lala’s Full Court Life. Of course people still want to know if it’s true that Celtics Kevin Garnett told Lala’s husband, Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, that she tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios during a match up a couple of weeks ago. Lala reiterated that simply isn’t true.

I had to be able to laugh about it because that one was really crazy,” La La told Renada Romain, host of “Ear Candy Mornings” on SiriusXM 44. “Like someone saying, ‘Oh, your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios,’ and everybody really believing that and running with it. That’s not what was said. Kevin Garnett did not say that about me. He just said some things to my husband that [‘Melo] didn’t like that he felt like one man doesn’t say to another.

“They’re perfectly fine now,” La La said of Garnett and her husband. “It happens in the heat of battle. People don’t know what goes on on that floor. [Garnett’s] known for that. So it got under my husband’s skin, things happen, but it wasn’t about me.”

For the record, I was told that it was more along the lines of “suck my di*k” but no breakfast food involved. Coincidently when the dust up happened, Lala hadn’t been seen around the Garden or wearing her wedding ring so people were wondering if marital bliss had turned into something else. Lala addresses that too:

“We’re doing great,” La La told Romain. “We’ve been together for 10 years! I always say when people tell their marriage is perfect, they’re lying. We’ve been together 10 years. We go through ups, we go through downs like anyone else, but we work through them. We’re doing great … we’re working through it and things are good.”

Sounds as if that part of the story was in fact true. You can listen to the interview here:
