Lakers Jordan Hill’s Bentley crashed into a Marina Del Rey apartment

See, this is yet another example as to why jocks must be careful with who they have around in their entourage. Lakers big man Jordan Hill’s name is twisted up in drama and it really has nothing to do with him. Hill’s friend Michael Lacey was driving his Bentley, drunk apparently, and crashed into an apartment complex. Check the deets below:

A Bentley registered under the name of Lakers forward Jordan Hill crashed into an apartment building in Marina Del Rey early Saturday morning. The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Michael Lacey, was arrested on DUI charges. There was a female passenger who was not arrested. The accident happened around 2:21 a.m. in the 13900 block of Marquesas Way. The vehicle was totaled when it hit the luxury apartment. L.A. County Fire treated at least one patient on the scene but no one was transported to the hospital.
Neighbors said they saw blood in the complex.

“I heard a loud crash and then a splash,” one neighbor said. “I guess the driver ran away. There was blood all over the gate that he jumped over.”

Lacey is also a basketball player, but not a professional one.

Couple of things here. First, where are you running to? Now I realize that Jordan lives a few blocks over from the crash but, there was a passenger in the car, you were hurt and your prints and blood is everywhere. And even if you had got away, do you think the girl was going to take that L? Or that Jordan wouldn’t say who had his car? He has a career to maintain. Clearly the criminal life isn’t for you.

Second, what type of basketball player are you if you’re at home in March? 26 is too old to be on spring break and still be playing college ball and I don’t think overseas leagues are home yet so, you’re actually just a professional friend.

Lastly, don’t drink and drive kids. I assure you the fine associated with this and possible jail time or community service isn’t going to be fun.
