Kobe Bryant has settled a lawsuit against his mother, Pamela Bryant related to his basketball memorabilia. Per ESPN, Kobe will allow his parents to sell 10% of the items originally scheduled for auction. Kobe’s parents also issued a letter of apology:
Goldin Auctions advanced Pamela $450,000 for the items. Pamela allegedly planned to use the money as payment for a home in Las Vegas that Kobe refused to pay for. Included in the items left for bidding, two of Bryant’s high school uniforms and two rings celebrating the 2000 Lakers championship team that he gave to his parents.
But Kobe’s parents won’t be cashing in on all the $$. For some items, including Bryant’s 2000 NBA All-Star ring, half the winning bid will be donated to charity.
I wonder if the relationship recovers?
