Knicks guard Iman Shumpert coupled up with singer Elle Varner [photos]

Are you ready for your latest new couple alert? One of my theories is that every athlete that’s able wants to add a celebrity chick to his roster. It’s sort of like a “mama I made it moment” or at the very least, more love and adoration from the homies back home and the professional friends. :giggle: Add another jock to the pile, New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert has been pining away for songstress Elle Varner and it looks like the two are finally official.

Last year, Iman posted a candid photo of the two on Instagram with the caption, “@ellevarner <—-talk about a good friend! Gotta love her!!” but the relationship definitely turned a bit romantic since then with Iman sharing a black art sketch of a man and woman kissing.  He captioned the photo, “In a nutshelle,” spelling shell with an added e, for Elle.

Cute and creative. The two recently vacationed in Aruba which of course included lots of Vine and Instagram posts for us to follow the fun.

I like this paring. They seem to fit. And they have music in common. Summer love!
