Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is finally getting is statue in front of the Staples Center. A few months ago, Kareem admonished the Lakers organization for not immortalizing him as they had for Magic Johnson, Jerry West and even Lakers veteran broadcaster Chick Hearn.
The Lakers are planning to add a statue at some point this season for one of the greatest centers in Lakers and NBA history. Abdul-Jabbar has five NBA championships and won six league MVP awards.
