Everybody can get it from Kanye West right now. Saturday night at the Sacramento tour stop of his “Saint Pablo” tour, Yeezy may have one upped himself.
Kanye performed three songs at Golden Center 1, hit a 20 minute rant about the music industry, Jay Z, Beyoncé and Trump, and then bounced from the stage. Concert goers were left stunned, including Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins who documented his shock on Instagram’s Insta Stories.
Let me give you some of the profanity-laced highlights:
West went in on radio programmers for overplaying mainstream artists, like Drake, instead of giving air time to artists like Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, Ian Connor and the future, ASAP Rocky.
On the Queen Bey:
“Beyoncé, I was hurt, I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and ‘Hotline Bling,’ he said about Bey’s performance at this year’s MTV video awards.
Now don’t go trying to diss Beyonce. She is great. Taylor Swift is great we are all great people, we are all great people but sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win. F**k winning. F**k looking cool. F**k looking cool. F**k all that bruh.”
He then went in on two-faced celebrities, including Jay Z
“I been sent here to give y’all my truth even at the risk of my own life. Even at the risk of my own success. My own career. I’ve been sent here to give y’all the truth.” West said. “Jay Z, call me bruh! You still ain’t call me. Jay Z call me. Ay bruh, I know you got killers please don’t send ‘em at my head, just call me. Talk to me like a man.”
“I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head,” West said. Kim K’s husband repeatedly said he was on his “Trump sh*t,”
Oh he also mentioned something about the press gearing up to write “passive aggressive LeBron James” quotes about his rant and then ending the show… What type of shade was that Yeezy?
I wonder if fans are still willing to drop $250 for a ticket for a show that may not happen depending on the night.Kanye brings the Saint Pablo Tour to The Forum in Inglewood on Sunday night. (Nov. 20)
