There is no denying that Nuggets guard JR Smith is a talented guy on the basketball court. But as far as “smarts” go, let’s just say we’re still in review on that topic.
Case in point, this past Memorial Day weekend in Miami, JR was arrested for “illegally riding a scooter on South Beach.” He was ticketed and released but let’s be serious for a second. JR’s license is suspended until March of 2012 stemming from a June 2009 incident where he was involved in a car accident that resulted in the death of one of his friends and a brief stint in jail.
JR, did you forget that you’re a free agent? I’m assuming you don’t mind this being used against you when your agent is trying to negotiate that new contract and they want to knock a million plus off the deal because you’re a “bad decision maker.” You’re making it too easy.
