Michael Jordan’s birthday is February 17th. That means every year around All-Star, not only was MJ celebrating his birth, he was playing in the annual event. The Jordan Brand began releasing its sneakers to coincide with the two February celebrations.
2015 marks the 30th Anniversary of the iconic Jordan Brand. As part of the All-Star weekend festivities, Jordan celebrated with “Comedy Court,” a comedy show featuring a lineup of comedians, including Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Mike Epps, Aisha Tyler, and more. Then the after-party included performances from Jhene Aiko, Ariana Grande, and a surprise performance by Prince – who demanded that no cameras be used while he performed.
Celebrity guests on hand included Clippers All-Star and Jordan athlete Chris Paul and his wife Jada, Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook and his fianceé, Nina, Carmelo Anthony and Lala, Derek Jeter, Nicki Minaj, Magic Johnson, LaMarcus Aldridge, and more.
