Jets’ Antonio Cromatie’s Baby Mama #6 Writes A Tell All

Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame, even if they make themselves look foolish in the process. Just look at any number of reality shows, YouTube channels or “exclusive interviews” from one-night-stands in magazines and on blogs.

Next up to try and captivate your attention, Rhonda Patterson, ex-fiancee/baby mama of Jets’ CornerBack Antonio Cromartie. She’s releasing a “tell-all” book on her relationship with him and how she became Baby’s mama #6 in his life (or maybe it’s mother of his sixth child, forgive me it’s hard to keep track).

The book entitled, “Love, Intercepted: A Tale of Football, Falling and Failing in Love” is her account of their on-and-off relationship which started in 2005 on Facebook. Oh, one other detail, she never uses his name in the book. ::insert suss face here::

“It goes nameless because the story is bigger than him, this is not a book to bash him. It’s meant to help women avoid making the same mistakes I did.”

If that was really her goal, why write a book when a paragraph will do? I’m going to say that falls under; don’t be so Pressed for a life style, that you walk into a situation you KNEW was destined for failure.
Think I’m being harsh? She says that when they started talking on Facebook, “He” lacked conversational skills, but communicated WELL between the sheets.”
Wait it gets better, She recalls “he” invited her to a party to celebrate his being drafted by the San Diego Chargers but acted odd. “I received a text message from him explaining that he needed his ‘space’ at the party and that I should leave him alone. That hurt.”She later learned he had another girlfriend at the party.
And yet she stayed, let’s take a look at a few other excerpts:

Patterson writes that she was bombarded with reports of his seductions and affairs — “rumors of more babies on the way, STDs, and secret trips.”

Once, she snooped in his room. “I came across other women’s jewelry, greeting cards he’d received from other lovers, and sex paraphernalia that we had never used. I was furious.”

Despite her doubts, when Cromartie proposed, she said yes. A week later, she found out she was pregnant. He already had four other kids.

She details how he canceled their 2008 wedding in Atlanta, nine days before she was to walk the aisle as the singer Fantasia performed her single “I Believe.”

He later kicked her out of his San Diego home, and she gave birth in Charlotte, NC. “I was amazed,” she said. “He couldn’t pick up the phone to check on me.”

To review, he had no real conversation at the beginning but you continued, he dogged you at his draft party, but you continued… yeah a cautionary tale indeed, gold diggin gone wrong.

Sorry, I like my debauchery sprinkled with a dash of intelligence or at the very least, entertaining. This feels like a pity party, layered in “I’m so-gonna-be-famous.” I’ll pass.

Did I mention she’s a a corporate lawyer? Here’s the link to purchase the book, let me know if you read it and what your thoughts are.
