Just when you thought Jameis Winston’s rape case nightmare was over.
Winston, former Florida State quarterback and projected first round draft pick, was accused of raping a woman in 2012. He was never charged with the assault, and in December 2014 was also cleared of violating the school’s code of conduct.
But Winston’s accuser is refusing to go away quietly.
Erica Kinsman went public and continues to claim Winston sexually assaulted her. In a documentary titled, “The Hunting Ground,” which features testimonies of people claiming to be victims of sexual assault on college campuses, Kinsman offers her account of the story where she claims that Winston raped her. The documentary is scheduled to hit theaters on March 20th, just a little over a month before the 2015 NFL Draft.
The release of the film could create controversy and potentially impact Winston’s draft stock, who according to most mock drafts is expected to be an early first round pick.
The film is also slated to air on CNN later in the year.
