Is Dwyane Wade ready to propose to Gabrielle Union?

Could Gabrielle Union be the next Heat significant other to get a ring? Apparently it’s on DWade’s mind, during an interview with Gayle King on “CBS This Morning,” Oprah’s bestie inquired if she should start shopping for a wedding ensemble.

  “I’m wondering, should I be getting a dress for the wedding? Could you give me a heads up? Will I be invited to the wedding? What side of the aisle should I sit on? Do you see her as a future Mrs. Wade, how about that?”

   Wade responded with a laugh:

  “Well, I wouldn’t be with her if I didn’t see her as a future Mrs. Wade. I think the thing that we’re doing is we’re continuing to grow. I’ve learned through my life is you take things one day at a time. And when the time is right, the time is right.”

  King: “Is the time feeling right, Dwyane Wade?”

  Wade: “We’re still growing. We’re good, we’re good.”

Gabby hinted that she’s looking for her ring a few months ago when she hosted the BET honors awards. Given the messiness of DWade’s divorce – which is detailed in his new book, “A Father First: How my life became bigger than basketball.” – it’s natural that he might be a little gun shy about heading back down the aisle. What I got from that response, don’t rush out to pick an outfit but don’t dismiss the notion of wedding bells for the two.

As long as everybody, and by everybody I mean Gabrielle and Dwyane, are on the same page and comfortable with the pace, things should be fine.

Speaking of engagements, congratulations are in order for the Heat’s Udonis Haslem and his new fiancee, Faith Rein. The couple became engaged this week!
