Former Miami Heat player Mike Miller is thinking about suing the franchise. Miller lost $1.7 million in a scam put together by a man named Haider Zafar that he was introduced to by a former Miami Heat employee, Stephen Weber. Zafar allegedly used $700K of that money to purchase courtside seats for the Miami Heat and Miller wants that money back.
Miller’s complaint alleged that the Heat and former VP Weber, “knew that Zafar had not paid his obligation to the Heat and had disclosed he was using a false, or at least, unofficial, identity and had disclosed he was under IRS investigation.”
