Gia Allemand, girlfriend of New Orleans Pelicans Ryan Anderson dead at 29

Gia Allemand, former “Bachelor” star and girlfriend of New Orleans Pelicans player Ryan Anderson passed away on Wednesday after being hospitalized Monday night at University Hospital in New Orleans. The 29-year-old model was placed on life support after attempting to take her life Monday by hanging herself. Anderson discovered her unconscious in her home, and called 911.

With Anderson and her mother by her side, life support was removed due to “critical loss of brain and organ function.” Anderson released a statement late Wednesday evening:

“I’m deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile.”

“She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared.”

Sending love and light to Gia’s friends and family.
