Former NFL Linebacker Napoleon Harris is running for a senate seat to represent Illinois’ 15th District. Harris graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Selected in the first round by the Raiders in the 2002 NFL Draft. During his 7 year NFL career, Harris also played for the Vikings and Chiefs as well as appearing in Superbowl XXXVII. The crux of Harris’ campaign centers on creating jobs within the community and improving the learning conditions for children in that district. Harris is running for the seat left vacant by Rev. James Meeks. The election is March 20th.
