Former NFL linebacker Kwame Harris allegedly assaulted his ex-boyfriend over boxers and soy sauce

An ex 49’ers and Raiders offensive lineman is facing felony domestic assault charges after allegedly beating up his ex-boyfriend in a restaurant parking lot last August. Kwame Harris, a former first round draft pick and graduate of Stanford is accused of beating up Dimitri Geier. The two were dining at Su Hong restaurant and Harris allegedly became upset when Geier poured soy sauce on rice which sparked in argument.

Geier was to catch a flight following the meal, as the argument escalated Harris decided he wasn’t taking Geier to the airport. AS the two walked to the car so Geier could get his bags, the arguing continued. And the story continues to get stranger.

Harris allegedly tried to pull down Geier’s pants and accused him of stealing his underwear, according to the suit. At some point the struggle came to blows. The punches from Harris broke bones around Geier’s eye socket and led to a metal plate being installed in his face and other surgeries, said his attorney Craig Charles. He added Geier, who had been in a four-year, on-and-off relationship with Harris, may require more surgery because the metal plate has shifted.

Harris is claiming self defense in the altercation however prosecutors don’t base charges on who strikes first.

“The issue is not who hit first,” said Albert Serrato, assistant district attorney. “We look to who the primary aggressor is and that is who used more force.”

Harris is currently out on $75,000 bail with his trial set to begin in April. You know there’s a civil suit pending as well right. Point of discussion, I do not share undergarments with friends and should the need arise, they would become the property of whoever is wearing him. Is this just a concept for women because I can’t ever imagine there being a circumstance that I’d have a fisticuffs over panties and food accoutrements.
