Former Dodgers star Milton Bradley sentenced to 3 years in jail

Former MLB player Milton Bradley has been sentenced to three years in jail and 5 years probation stemming from his conviction of four counts of assault against his estranged wife. Bradley  swung a bat at his wife  and, threatened her with a gun. Bradley was convicted in June. His sentence  will also require anger management  classes.

960 days in jail (32 months), 400 hours of community service and five years of probation. Bradley also has to take an anger management class and complete a year of domestic violence counseling. Bradley plans to appeal the sentence and is currently free on $250,000 bond. He is due back in court next month.

According to the LA Daily News’ Susan Abram, Bradley said in a statement to the court that he’s never harmed anyone, but admits he has anger issues. He told reporters after his sentence that he has a lot of respect for the judge and courts.
