Statics say that the average NBA career lasts for just four years, netting the hooper around $24 million. Further more, we know that 60% of NBA players go broke five years after retirement. So, its not out of the realm of possibility that one day you’ll roll out to your favorite fast food establishment, and hear “can I take your order please?” from a former pro.
Meet former Indiana Pacers player David Harrison. The Pacers drafted Harrison in the first round of the 2004 draft. During his four-year NBA career, he earned $5 million. Harrison ended up being a distraction at the register because of his height and former career, so his time at McDonalds was short lived.
Life comes at you fast.
