Kobe Bryant appeared on the Lakers bench Sunday night in the third quarter. The goal of course was to provide moral support to a team that was clearly being swept out of the first round of the playoffs and not to make a sartorial statement in Givenchy and crutches but somehow, he managed to do both.
Givenchy is the jock’s go to look of the moment. Last summer you saw LeBron James, JR Smith, Amaré Stoudemire and others in the “jaws” and “rottweiler” tees were spotted everywhere. Currently, it’s this paisley one from the 2013 spring line. In addition to Kobe Bryant rocking it, LeBron James wore it a few days ago and NBA free agent to be Dorell Wright was spotted out in Vegas wearing it this weekend.
Side note, I hate the word “sartorial” but it seems to be the go-to buzzword for athletes and fashion this season. Sometimes I’m trendy.
