Ex Dodgers outfielder Milton Bradley facing up to 13 years in jail from domestic violence case

Former Dodgers and Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley could be facing up to 13 years in jail and $13,000 in fines relating to domestic abuse charges. Bradley was charged on Friday with four counts of spousal battery, four counts of criminal threats, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of vandalism and one count of dissuading a witness from making a report stemming from five incidents in which he allegedly threatened and attacked his estranged wife Monique.

“During one incident in November 2012, Bradley allegedly pushed his wife against a kitchen wall and choked her with both hands after she requested that he stop smoking marijuana in front of their children and requested that his friends leave her San Fernando Valley home,” the city attorney’s office said in a statement.

During an attack in August 2011, prosecutors said Bradley kicked his wife in the ribs and then threatened her with a  bat. In March of 2011 he threatened her with a knife, saying “You’ll be dead b**ch before you divorce me.”

Bradley’s playing career was filled with several outbursts including throwing a water bottle at a fan, bumping and umpire and an incident with a reporter in a clubhouse. Bradley was last played with the Mariners in 2011.
