Ex-Dodger Milton Bradley convicted on 4 counts of sposal battery, assault and criminal threats

Former MLB star Milton Bradley was known for his volatile temper on the diamond. That aggression apparently transferred over to his personal life as he was accused of domestic violence. Bradley was convicted on the charges and is facing significant jail time.

The 35-year-old former All-Star was convicted of nine misdemeanor counts, including four counts of spousal battery, one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of making criminal threats. Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney, said Bradley faces seven-and-a-half years in jail at his sentencing, which is scheduled for July 2.

In one incident, Bradley pushed his wife against a wall and choked her after she asked him to stop smoking marijuana in front of their children. She also demanded his friends leave there home.

During the trial prosecutors said Bradley attacked his wife 5 times between 2011 and 2012. The two were married for five years and have two children together. They are currently separated and going through a divorce.
