Esquire Network to air 12-Hour Marathon of Original OJ Simpson Trial

FX’s American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpsonhas been one of the most riveting pieces of television created, much like the actual trial was 20 years ago.

The case contained everything; money, celebrity, race and sex. It’s no wonder that the public’s fascination with this case is still current today. Numerous shows, documentaries and docu series have been created and there are even more in the works.

The Esquire channel will run an all-day marathon of the actual courtroom footage in The Real O.J. Simpson Trial, a 12-hour special set to air on Sunday, April 3 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The broadcast will recap the events of the 1995 murder trial, from the opening arguments to the final verdict, using archival footage, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Also coming up, the OWN network will air a Where Are They Now special that revisits interviews with OJ Simpson prosecutors Christopher Darden and Marcia Clark, plus new interviews with Nancy Grace, victim Ron Goldman’s sister Kim Goldman and key witness Kato Kaelin.

There’s also a new docu-series produced by actor Martin Sheen entitled, Hard Evidence: O.J. Is Innocent that will air on  Investigation Discovery.  The show was created from the book, O.J. Is Innocent and I Can Prove It, written by a Texas private investigator who spent years finding “never-before seen evidence” to support his theory of how Brown and Goldman died that night. The series is expected to air in 2017.

And finally, this June ESPN has produced their own series, O.J.: Made in America which will be shown on their sister-network ABC in June.
