Espy Awards fashion featuring Steve Nash, Anthony Davis, Matt Kemp, Jeremy Lin & more [photos]

Wednesday night in LA, one of my favorite Sports Entertainment fusions – well outside of Jocks & Stiletto Jill of course – took place. The ESPY awards went down at the Nokia Theater with alleged comedian Rob Riggle as the host.

Oh that “alleged” was me being sarcastic. Riggle SUCKED as a host but I digress. Favorite parts of the show, former Tennessee Vols coach, Pat Summit was honored. Her story was incredible especially as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of title IX. And, the story of former Rutgers player Eric LeGrand was beyond inspirational.

But you know what I’m here for, The Fashion. Let’s check out how some of our favorite jocks cleaned up for their version of the Oscars.

Jeremy Lin opted for a look inspired by Pee-Wee Herman. But somehow he manages to pull the look off and he took home the award for best breakthrough athlete.  Love the accessories.

Dodgers star Matt Kemp looked absolutely delicious in waraire boswell. Kemp took his mother Judy as his date.

Before you ladies start plotting, that’s merely a smoke screen to keep his lover affair with me on the low! ::giggles:: I’m totally joking!

I was just praising Patriots star Rob Gronkowski’s “birthday suit” in ESPN magazine’s The body issue but his formal attire gets a big thumbs down. The fit is off, the fabric looks cheap. It’s one night, invest in a good stylist or at the very least, tailoring.

Steve Nash and his girlfriend Brittnay Richardson were also in attendance. I love Steve’s look, I wonder if that’s a suit from his collection with Indochino and his girlfriend is adorable. The electric blue pops on her!

Team USA Basketball also checked in from Vegas. I’d know that backdrop anywhere, they were at the Encore pool. LOVE.

My favorite moment of marketing strategy genius? Lamar Odom and Bruce Jenner attending together minus their Kardashian significant others. Still plugs the brand but reminds us that Bruce is an Olympian and LO is back to business.

Not sure I’m feeling newly minted Hornet, Anthony Davis’ look or JR Smith’s hook up. I might need to step away and re-exam but on  first glance. Something isn’t doing it for me. You can check those two out and a lot more in the gallery.
