Today the world of sports media lost one of it’s brightest stars. ESPN anchor Stuart Scott died Sunday morning following a lengthy battle with cancer. Scott was 49.
Scott was known for his signature on air catchphrases like; “Boo-Yah!” “As cool as the other side of the pillow” or”He must be the bus driver cuz he was takin’ him to school.”
Last summer Scott accepted the Jimmy V award for perseverance at the ESPYS. It was shortly after a round of cancer surgery, he said these words during his acceptance speech.
“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.”
Rest in Power Stuart Scott.
