The late Stuart Scott was an inspiration to many. Scott passed away in January, after a long battle with cancer. Tuesday night, The Sports Emmy Awards took place. Scott’s name was among the nominees for “Best Studio Host” for his role on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
“This belongs to Stuart Scott” and gives the Sports Emmy to Scott’s daughters Taelor and Sydni. “It all started with Stuart,” Johnson told the audience after he handed the award over.
Johnson had his own fight with cancer, in 2003 he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, he continued to receive chemotherapy while on air with ‘Inside The NBA’ for three years.
